My training at St. John’s Medical College Hospital has been a highly enriching experience, providing strong hands-on clinical exposure and academic growth. My daily ward responsibilities include taking detailed clinical histories, performing examinations, presenting cases to consultants, writing orders, discussing care plans, monitoring patients, and providing regular updates, along with attending structured morning and afternoon academic sessions. I have gained procedural experience including lumbar puncture, bone marrow biopsy, bedside ultrasonography, and ascitic tapping. Academically, I am working on three case reports (one as first author and two as co-author) and leading one Quality Improvement project as Principal Investigator. The integration of Study Medic, with its rich question bank, structured classes, concise notes, and daily study activities, has greatly enhanced my ability to learn on the go and effectively integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical practice.
